Mushrooms have been considered sacred substances to be used with reverence, ritual, and respect by many indigenous groups for centuries. In fact, the Aztecs referred to mushrooms as teonanácatl (“flesh of the gods”). We respect these origins as we partake in microdosing and macrodosing and operate Mind Mend similarly by taking the following pledge. In order to honor the origins of mushrooms we donate 1% of all revenue to indigenous non-profits, similar to the 1% for the planet pledge popularized by the environmentally focused clothing brand Patagonia.
